I am an Antwerp based fashion designer from Amsterdam. After my internships at Ann Demeulemeester, Jan-Jan van Essche Acne Studios and Charles Jeffrey Loverboy, I started my own label to bring my own vision to life.

ROSA VERONICA is a young unisex label that centers on the concept of creating an artisanal wardrobe, one piece at a time. Every piece is made by hand in my studio in Antwerp.I do not believe in showing fleeting collections, many a year. Instead, my approach is to create timeless pieces that are available year round, with each two seasons a new drop of a few pieces that are created with all attention and devotion. This way, I am creating one collection that will slowly develop over time.

I always had a passion for music and poetry, and the culture and community the artists are part of. I see a lot of parallels to their world and fashion. They both possess the power of defining the spirit of their time. I love to dive into the source of what moves them and to translate that to a timeless view on fashion with a nostalgic and romantic spirit.

For me it is really important that textile development and design go hand in hand. When I envision the poetic and nostalgic nature of the people who wear my garments I think of fabric in movement. For me it is important that the garments are wearable, but they need courage and determination to be worn. The designs and materials I use are in a constant conversation between the fragile and brute and are sensual but raw. The pieces I create are in contrast to the ideas on femininity and masculinity and are androgynous by nature.
